"Flapper" Tassel Beadwork Necklace (BB122)

The inspiration for this necklace came from the beautiful lampwork bead made by Sally-Jo Drinkel of Fanello Design. To complement it I made a beaded bead in the same colours with a couple of smaller beaded beads with a tassel saved from a string of peridot beads used in some other jewellery.

I wanted the tassel to hang quite low so made a long beaded rope in to match. The rope is 36" (92cm) long and the tassel is 3.5" (9.5cm) long.

When finished I tried the necklace on and immediately felt like doing the Charleston*. So I called it Flapper.

*I can't do the Charleston!
